How to upgrade downgrade Firmware on Samsung Star
How to upgrade/downgrade Firmware on Samsung Star :
Before do this, please check first your Samsung Star firmware version ( press : *#1234# )
1. Software to upgrade/downgrade your Firmware : “Multiloader 5.56” & “Samsung New PC Studio 1.1.2.ID3“
Those two software are the newest one
2. For other firmware version of Samsung Star / Samsung, you can get it here
Choose S5230, then for the firmware you can find it on the last page ( example : S5230XEIG2 )
note : every firmware has it own + and -, you can test it by yourself later.
3. To upgrade firmware :
- Make sure that Samsung PC Studio is installed properly on your PC and your STAR is detectable by your PC
- When doing upgrade/downgrade, DO NOT activate PC Studio Application !
- Urrar the downloaded firmware, make a new folder for it
- Release your SIM Card & Micro SD, then put again your battery
- You can see a “Download” on your screen now
- Put again your data cable that already connected to your Samsung Star and PC
- Open Multiloader 5.56
- Choose BRCM2133 for [b]S5230/S5233.
Note + :
Samsung Star using Soc (System on a Chip) chipset BCM21331 (208 MHz ARM9 + 139 MHz DSP), so the decision is in your own hand
